35 years old man sentenced to life imprisonment for rape…
The judge of the 8th Judicial Circuit Court in Sanniquellie, Nimba County, has sentenced defendant, James Worgie to life imprisonment.
Judge Emery Paye sentenced 35 years old Worgie Tuesday after he was found guilty for raping a 12 years old girl at the Cocopa Rubber Plantation in Nimba County last October.
Judge Paye has accordingly ordered the sheriff of the court to remind defendant James Worgie in jail, that he will serve his life imprisonment with hard labor.
Meanwhile, his lawyer Attorney Samuel Gbelay took exception to judge Paye's decision and notified the court, that he will appeal against his judgment to the Supreme Court during its October term.
At the same time, four men standing trial at the 8th Judicial Circuit Court on charges of armed robbery and gnag raped are expected to appear before the court in Sanniquellie, Nimba County.
