AFL Soldiers complete specialized warfare training
Two hundred AFL Soldiers, accompanied by an Officer of the Armed Forces of Liberia have returned home from Nigeria, after successfully completing a specialized warfare course at the Nigerian Army School of Infantry in Kaduna State.

The training was conducted under the sponsorship of the Nigerian Government based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Liberia and Nigeria in August this year.

The Training is part of the Military and Security Assistance by Nigeria to the Security Sector Reform Program of Liberia.

The return of the soldiers, who underwent a six-month intensive training, has added another boost to the professional morale of a highly trained two thousand one hundred and thirty-three strong force of the restructured Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL).

In a related development, Nigeria has seconded additional three officers, totaling five; the number of officers provided by that Government to mentor the Armed Forces of Liberia.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of National Defense has expressed gratitude to the United States for playing a lead role; as well as the Government of Nigeria among others, for assisting Liberia achieve a well secured environment.
