Senator Prince Johnson to appear before TRC - Jul 5, 2008


Nimba County Senator has consented to face the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and share his experiences and perspectives on the genesis of the civil conflict that affected the country.

In agreement with the TRC’s communication to the Senior Senator of Nimba County, Prince Y. Johnson, inviting him to appear before the TRC, so as to ascertain facts from him and also enable the Commission to establish the genesis of the country’s civil conflict.

The Senate Press Bureau said Senator Johnson will give emphasis on the root causes that give way to the military and political dimensions of the conflict.

According to a release, Senator Johnson, who is currently attending a workshop in Accra, Ghana wants the people of Nimba, Liberian, Relatives and friends and the world at large to know that his willingness to face the TRC is in furtherance of genuine peace, reconciliation and the healing process of Liberia.
