Swiss Government donates - Jul 5, 2008


The Swiss Government has donated three utility trucks to the Health Ministry.

Presenting the vehicles Thursday in Monrovia, the Country Director of the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation, Fedrick Steinemann said, the donation is his government’s way of identifying with Liberia in its efforts to revamp the health sector.

Receiving the trucks, Health Minister, Dr. Walter Gwenigale thanked the Swiss Government, adding, the trucks are timely and will enable the Ministry transport medical supplies easily to other parts of the country.

Also Speaking, World Health Organization going Country Director, Dr. Eugene Nyarko commended the Liberian Government for the attention given to the country’s health sector over the years.
