Liberia felicitates Algeria and D. R. Congo - Jul 5, 2008
President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of congratulations to the President, Government and People of Algeria, on the occasion marking the 46th Independence Anniversary of that country.
In the message to Her Algerian counterpart, President Abdel Aziz Boutiflika, President Sirleaf extended warmest felicitations and sincere best wishes to the Algerian Leader and the Government and People of Algeria on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia.
She expressed the hope that the bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation existing between the two countries will be further strengthened in the years ahead as the two Governments work cooperatively together in promoting the aims and objectives of the African Union as well as global peace and stability.
President Johnson Sirleaf then wished and prayed for the personal well-being of Mr. Boutiflika and for the success of his government’s efforts to promote reconciliation, unity and welfare of the People of Algeria.
At the same time, President Johnson-Sirleaf has also sent a similar message to the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Joseph Kabila, wishing him, the Government and People of Congo, fraternal best wishes on the occasion of the D.R. Congo’s 48th Independence Anniversary.
