Representative Koah refutes media report - Jul 5, 2008


Nimba County Representative, Evans Koah has condemned media reports that the Nimba Legislative Caucus has tempered with the country’s budget.

Representative Koah’s statement follows recent reports that he has distributed some of the 2007/2008 county development budget among members of the caucus to the detriment of the country.

The Lawmaker said, with the approval of the Internal Affairs Ministry and the country’s local authorities; ten percent of the budget was allocated to empower the caucus and the country development secretariat, to monitor development programs in the country.

Representative Koah has meanwhile threatened to take legal action against the management of the Analyst Newspaper for what he calls defamation of character if it does not retract its statement made against him.
