Government begins demolition exercise….
The Liberian Government has renewed its determination to enforce the country’s zoning law, especially within the Monrovia suburbs.
Government says, it will not relent in removing makeshift structures in the right-of-way and alleys.
Speaking Saturday at the start of a massive demolition exercise at the Red Light Market in Paynesville, Public Works Zoning Director Lasannah Warity re-affirmed the Ministry’s mandate to demolish make-shift structures in violation of the country’s zoning code.
The exercise witnessed the demolition of makeshift structures in the Paynesville Red-light and Gobachau Market areas, as well as its surroundings.
