Appeals to parents and guardians to help curtail exams malpractices
The Head of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Thomas Gai wants stakeholders actively involved in the administration of this year’s exams slated to be administered by the council.
He said as the Monrovia Office of the council strives to prevent the recurrence of examination malpractices, there is a need for both District Education Officers and school Administrators to buttress their efforts.
Speaking Friday on a live phone in program on ELBC, “lets talk” Professor Gai noted that WAEC is in close consultation with the Education Ministry to bring pride to the country’s educational; system after years of devastation.
Professor Gai is meanwhile admonishing parent and guardians not to be carried away by what he calls, flexibility fees charged by some school authorities.
